The chip tuning of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2.8 diesel (2021) car included comprehensive work with the ECU, providing software adaptation for optimizing fuel supply and turbo control. During the procedure, the electronic gas pedal was corrected, which improved the sensitivity and response to pressing the accelerator.
Additionally, a comfort module was installed in the car, which provides automatic folding of mirrors, auto-lifting of all windows and remote engine start using the original key. All work was carried out with a visit to the client, which increased the convenience and efficiency of the implementation, and the duration of the procedure was 2 hours.
After installing the new firmware, the engine power increased by approximately 40 hp, and the torque by 60 N∙m. This improved the dynamics, acceleration and overall responsiveness of the motor in various modes of operation.
The accelerator function has been improved to add driving comfort, reduce response delays, especially in urban conditions and when overtaking, and eliminate turbo lag. The additional module has expanded the vehicle's functionality, making it more enjoyable and convenient in any situation.
